What is Rectangle
A rectangle is a geometrical entity which has length (L) and breadth (B) and having edges of 90 degree angle at four sides . The basic formulae which is being used for the calculation of the area of rectangle is designated by multiplying it's length by width which is (L*B).
Procedure for Creating Rectangle
Now let's start how a rectangle is created in AutoCAD mechanical Autodesk . By following some basic commands you can easily create rectangle in AutoCAD mechanical Autodesk which are as :-

- Firstly you will have to turn ON the "Polar mode " in software by just typing it on the AutoCAD mechanical Autodesk home screen.
- Now you will see a Menu bar at the highlighted with your typed command i.e "Polar mode".
- Now point the cursor on the screen and draw a line from start point with your specified length towards wherever to draw it and now place the cursor at other point.
- Now you will see that a line is generated on the screen , you can also change the size of line by typing the command "DIMENSIONS" on the home screen from where you can edit length of line.
- Now the next step starts from where you drop your cursor , the point which is generated at the end of line , place cursor there and drag it towards downward or upward where you want to create breadth of rectangle.
- The next step is same as the fourth step.
- Now join the ends of the line together with each other to the end point
- And as a result you will see a rectangle is generated on the home screen of AutoCAD mechanical Autodesk.
- You can also change the size of the fonts of dimensions by typing the command"DIMSTYLE" where you can edit the size of fonts.
By keeping in mind some some basic knowledge about geometrical entities you can easily generate any shape and size in AutoCAD mechanical Autodesk.It is a helpful tool for creating Geometrical sections of different sizes and shapes.
